But, despite no confirmation from Darlington, Austin's name on the teamsheet for tonight's friendly with Workington offers an indication that he has chosen the Quakers.
Austin looks set to start at left-back, despite preferring to play centrally, meaning that German defender Dominik Werling could start further forward.
