Nathan Mulligan is a surprise name in the Darlington line-up for today's game at Morecambe.

The former Norton winger has not started a game since a match since the Shrimps thumped Quakers 4-0 in November.

He made an appearance as a late sub in Tuesday's draw with Lincoln City and earns a recall from Steve Staunton with striker Mor Diop dropping to the bench.

Mulligan will play on the wing so that means Irish striker Tadhg Purcell returns to the forward line in an otherwise unchanged line-up.

In the Morecambe side at Christie Park is former Darlington favourite Neil Wainwright.
