On loan winger Rory Prendergast has not suffered a fractured shoulder as club physios first suspected.

Predergast, who signed from fellow League Two side Rochdale on loan 23rd March, was stretchered off against Hartlepool in the reserve fixture which took place last night.

Initially it was feared that the winger had fractured his shoulder following a challenge with Hartlepool player Mark Tinkler. X-rays showed this not to be the case but he still has heavy bruising and a stiff neck.

Despite this, it now seems possible that Predergast may play for Darlington during the Easter period.

* Striker Gaetano Giallanza made his long awaited return for Darlington in the same reserve fixture and seemingly got through it without a problem.

Brian Close damaged a hamstring and goalkeeper Lee Jones will receive treatment for his groin injury later in the month.
