Brian Close is going in for a CT scan tomorrow
Darlington who faces one of the most important games of the season at Rochdale has been hampered once again with injury and suspensions.
Spotland the Home of Rochdale where at the moment has a pitch with more sand than Blackpool beach.
This again is hardly ideal!
Without the Services of Carlos Logan and captain Matt Clarke, Hodgy also is without Marry Appleby who misses the game for being sent off last weekend.
Where Darlington failed to achieve the required standard to win a must win game.
It was during that game that Carlos Logan pulled up with groin problem, Logan has previous history and Club Physio Paul Gough explains he has being playing with the problem.
“Carlos Logan goes to see a specialist tomorrow with reference to a hernia problem. He has a groin strain but has a history of a hernia; the injury has been building for around two weeks.
He is going to get that checked. It looks as if he could be missing for between 4 to 6 weeks should he require surgery“.
Bert Bossu is back in the gym but it will be still another month till he returns to the training field.
He needs to avoid contact with the ball so he is still a good month before any sort of contact with the team.
Joey is in the gym, he is coming on really well and will be going down to Lillishall week after next,
he is going to be there every six weeks, but is coming on very well.
Neale McDermott has turned his ankle in the Soccer arena so he will be out for around ten days with that.
Brian Close is going in for CT scan tomorrow, which is necessary because it is more in depth to find out what is going on in his ankle. The CT scan will review exactly what needs to be done.
It is a lot more expensive but more detailed in Brian’s case it was needed.
Neil Wainwright looks to have won the race to be fit in time, Goughy explained that he missed training Monday and Tuesday with a slight groin strain, it was just a little tight nothing more than that really, he has been training again today so he will be fine for Saturday.
Wainwrights groin strain is related to his back strain as it causes a tightening of the hamstrings, and the groin and every thing else so it will be related to the previous back injury.
Simon Johnson is showing no signs of any problem he had with his thigh. Jonna trained ok yesterday and has trained again today so Simon will be available for Rochdale.
David Duke was due to play in the reserve game last night, but has trained every day just needs match fitness then he also will be back in contention.
Phil Stamp has responded to treatment and will feature with Duke in Mondays reserve game weather permitting.
