Yesterday Stamp went to the Morton Palms hospital to have a scan on his back
Darlington Mad can reveal that Phil Stamp is continuing injury nightmare seems to have found its conclusion.
Yesterday Stamp went to the Morton Palms Hospital to have a scan on his back.
It can be revealed that Stamp must now undergo a further scan in Leeds to determine the treatment required to correct what appears to be a disk problem in Stamps lower back.
Stamp has a problem with the nerves in his lower back said Paul Gough, he went to see a specialist yesterday. That is the reason why his hamstrings and calves keep going into spasm; it is because of a nerve problem in his lower back. Stamp will go to Leeds next week and we will then be able to sort out his problem with corrective treatment. Stamp had a similar problem around ten years ago it appears that we will have to go down a similar path to correct it as was done at that time.
Better news for Darlington fans is that Captain Mathew Clarke has today passed a fitness test and will be back for the weekends must win game against Chester. Also passing a fitness test today was Neale McDermott both have had tests with me today and both are fit for the weekend said Paul Gough.
David Duke is another player back in the reckoning after months in the wilderness following a double hernia.
Carlos Logan now out for the remainder of the season goes into a Manchester Hospital next Tuesday to have a double hernia operation.
Bert Bossu has begun working on the treadmill should be back training with the first team in four weeks.
